Kristian Y. Hartter is a proud Colorado native who has been producing art for almost 20 years. His earliest forays into the world of “…making something out of nothing and selling it”* were in acrylic and in soapstone.
After high school, Kristian entered the workforce and his art took a backseat to earning money the traditional way, though he continued to practice and develop in his free-time. It was only recently that Kristian began to see the viability of selling his art to the many.
Many of Kristian's 3D works are inspired by the natural formations found in the rocks surrounding the Grand Valley and extending south into Arizona and New Mexico. Others reflect emotions or have a reactive element to them, while still others seem to reveal themselves to the artist as he works.
Kristian finds the purely aesthetic nature of art photography, its utter lack of utility, is both a challenge, and a liberation. ‘Rare landscapes’, macro, and low-light shots predominate the subjects in Kristian’s portfolio.
